Sourcing safety
What we assist with, and what stays with you.
A direct deal is between you and the business you buy from. GetSourceDirect does not sit between you financially, so it cannot and does not promise the safety net a payment platform would. This page states plainly where the line falls.

Five stages of a direct order
At every stage the platform does one thing and you carry the rest. The rail marks where the handover happens.
Before contacting
Platform assistance
Public listings show the unit price, currency, minimum order quantity and the country the seller is based in. Buyer contact details are not published on the site.
Buyer responsibility
Decide whether a direct order suits you. Import duties, shipping cost, product compliance in your market and your own budget are yours to assess.
Evaluate the business
Platform assistance
A business registration and profile are reviewed manually before an account is approved, and approved accounts can carry a reviewed status.
Buyer responsibility
A review confirms we looked at the registration. It is not an audit, a certification or a factory inspection. Ask for registration documents and references, and form your own view.
Discuss specifications
Platform assistance
Listings can carry a description, unit and lead-time estimate supplied by the seller. Inquiries reach the seller they were addressed to.
Buyer responsibility
Confirm material, tolerance, finish, packaging and labelling in writing. If you need samples or a pre-shipment check, agree that with the seller — the platform does not arrange inspections.
Agree commercial terms
Platform assistance
The platform provides no payment service and never takes custody of funds. It does not set or enforce the contract between the two businesses.
Buyer responsibility
Negotiate price, payment method, Incoterms, shipping, lead time and what happens if goods do not match, and put it in a written contract. Choose a payment method you are prepared to rely on.
Proceed independently
Platform assistance
The two businesses contract with each other. The platform is not a party to that contract and does not intervene in its performance.
Buyer responsibility
Monitor the order, inspect before releasing payment where you can, and keep your own records. If something goes wrong you deal with the seller, and any legal remedy is between the two businesses.
Sourcing with your eyes open
Read the reviews on each profile, read the published terms, and ask the seller the questions only you know matter.
